Part 1 - How to be a Flawed Leader

At Flawed Leader our vision is to Grow. Together.

We do this by empowering leaders and organizations to lead imperfectly through the lens of their growth and the growth of those they lead to transform their path forward.

To lead imperfectly as a Flawed Leader requires specific intention. We support that intention through our Flawed Leader Values.

Our Flawed Leader Values are:

  • Curiosity

  • Growth

  • Presence

  • Humanity

  • Community

  • Advocacy

  • Resilience

These values have a flow starting inward and expanding outward. To understand what it means to be a Flawed Leader we will first turn inward and understand the need for Curiosity, Growth, and Presence.

Curiosity - about opportunities, about how to better support, with an open mindset.

This matters because its okay and normal to not have all the answers. To be a Flawed Leader is to understand that you will not have all of the answers and that is okay. Curiosity will help you cultivate the capacity to sense into what is so that you know where to focus to support growth.

Growth - taking ownership of opportunities, honoring progress, focused on the path forward

This matters because awareness is only one part of the process. To be a Flawed Leader is to put intention into the path forward. Growth is the only constant and leaders that embrace growth will be equipped to lead well, even as they're working on their own growth.

Presence - engaged, aware, and create a space of held safety

This matters because the leader creates the conditions for growth and work to happen. To be a Flawed Leader is to recognize the fundamental duty to be aware of how you engage and create the space for your team to work in.

Next up in Part 2: we continue our understanding by turning outward to the role of Humanity and Community
