    Frequently Asked Questions

    Who needs to be involved?

This is a facilitator-driven kit with two audiences. You prepare on your own, then run two waves of sessions: one with your senior peers to align on the methodology, and one with your hiring managers, who will actually run hiring under it.

What will we have when we finish?

A documented hiring methodology your senior team has aligned on, a hiring manager guide so others can run the process the same way, clear decisions on which components of hiring fit your organization, and a system of record for hiring artifacts. Your work publishes to your own Notion.

What does the kit actually teach?

The working logic underneath hiring, not a checklist: how you decide a role is real, how you define and post it, how you reach candidates, and how you review applicants. You will learn to build a methodology that keeps hiring from becoming a scramble every time a role opens.

    How long does it take?

This runs across multiple weeks, not one sitting, typically two to four weeks. Expect two to three hours of your own prep, then two facilitated sessions (one with senior peers, one with hiring managers) of about ninety minutes to two hours each, depending on calendars.

Do I need anything in place before I start?

Yes. This kit assumes you already have a working leveling architecture (tracks, levels, pay) and a working job description practice, since hiring sits on top of both. If you have done Designing Your Org Ecosystem and Job Descriptions 101, or the equivalent, you are set. If a piece is missing, the kit shows you how to handle it.

    Does this include interviewing?

No, and that is deliberate. This kit covers hiring up to the point of interviewing: deciding, defining, sourcing, and screening. Interviewing, the offer, and closing are their own work in Designing Your Interview Methodology. Onboarding is separate too.
