Design Your Org Structure

$149.00Price

Shape an org structure that fits how the company actually works, not a chart for its own sake.

Design Your Org Structure creates the framework your organization grows inside: clear tracks, levels, and pay bands. With it in place, people can see how they grow and you can scale the team with intention.

What you'll do in this kit:

    • Audit the current state of your structure, growth paths, and pay practices
    • Learn a transferable framework of tracks, levels, sub-levels, and pay bands
    • Draft your first thinking on what tracks, levels, and pay ranges could look like
    • Design how you will engage a small group of senior peers
    • Co-create the architecture, build the pay scale, and plot your team into it
    • Reflect on the process and your role leading it

    Complete this kit to create:

    • An org structure of tracks, levels, and pay bands your organization can use
    • Your current team plotted into the structure

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Who needs to be involved?

This is a facilitator-driven kit, so you do not do it alone. You prepare on your own through the first half, then bring in a small group of senior peers, other founders, your COO, CFO, or people lead, or their equivalents, to co-create the architecture across working sessions. You facilitate; they help build.

What will we have when we finish?

A finalized track-and-level architecture, a pay-band scale that holds it together, your current team plotted into it with a target state, and a plan to roll it out to your organization. It is the structural foundation the rest of your people systems attach to. Your work publishes to your own Notion.

What does the kit actually teach?

How to design the ecosystem your organization grows inside, in three waves: Architect (define tracks, levels, and sub-levels), Price (build pay bands that hold equity together), and Plot (place your real team into the structure and surface gaps). You will learn to make growth legible and pay defensible instead of built one negotiation at a time.

    How long does it take?

This is a multi-week kit, not one sitting. You will spend a few focused hours preparing on your own, then run several working sessions with your senior group. How long it runs scales with your size: a team of five may move quickly, a team of fifty may run over weeks. You move at the speed of clarity.

Do I need anything in place before I start?

No prior kit is required, this is the foundation the Grow-phase kits build on. What you do need is a small group of senior peers to bring into the work, since it is designed to be co-created rather than done solo.

We are a small organization. Is this overkill?

No. Designing the structure early is exactly what keeps a small organization from re-papering it every time it grows. The ecosystem is built to hold five, twenty-five, or seventy-five people; you design it once and update how your team plots into it over time.

    How final are these decisions?

Some of what you decide here is hard to undo, which is why the kit treats it as deliberate design work with the right people in the room, not a quick exercise. You will build with intention and set a cadence to revisit it as you grow.
